Cameroon: Two Days Of National Mourning For Drowned Soldiers
A two-day national mourning will be observed in Cameroon in memory of the victims of the military logistic boat that sank on July 16, 2017. The entire nation will see flags set at half-mast for the two days to pay respect to the 34 victims of the accident.
The accident occurred at sea around Debunsha in the South West Region of the country. The exact cause of the accident is still to be made known though preliminary investigations talk of bad weather.
The boat was on its way to Bakassi to supply military logistics. Only three of the soldiers who were on guard out on the vessel survived the incident.
